A thin black line dances on the breeze at the centre of the room, suspended by nothing. As it whirls and undulates midair it never falters, persisting in its fluid but unpredictable motion. Mounted overhead, an ordinary electric fan hums, supplying the wind current that accounts for its animation. On the ground below, low, curved steel swatches provide the suggestion of a circle —
